Fujairah is the only emirate in the UAE with no Arabian Gulf coastline — it faces the Gulf of Oman on the country's east side. This makes it distinctly different in character from Dubai: mountains close to the sea, older architecture, quieter pace, and a landscape that feels genuinely remote despite being under two hours from the city.
The tour typically covers the Hanging Garden, Al Bidyah Mosque (dating to the 15th century and the oldest mosque in the UAE), Sheikh Zayed Mosque Fujairah, the Musafi mountain area, Fujairah Historic Fort, Umbrella Park, Al Hayl Castle, Sandy Beach (one of the best swimming beaches on the east coast), Fujairah Museum, and Bithnah Fort.

What is Al Bidyah Mosque and why is it significant?
Al Bidyah Mosque is the oldest surviving mosque in the UAE, dating back to the 15th century. It is a simple but beautifully preserved example of traditional Gulf Islamic architecture with four distinctive domes. Entry is permitted outside prayer times and it is one of the most historically significant stops in the UAE.
Is Sandy Beach good for swimming?
Yes. Sandy Beach near Fujairah is one of the best swimming beaches accessible from Dubai. The Gulf of Oman is generally calmer and clearer than the Arabian Gulf side. Snorkelling equipment is available to rent on the beach.
How far is Fujairah from Dubai?
Fujairah is approximately 130 km from Dubai, about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the route and traffic. The mountain road through Masafi adds scenic value to the drive.
Can we stop for lunch in Fujairah?
Yes. Fujairah has a range of restaurants, particularly in the city centre and near the coast. Seafood is excellent and fresh. Lunch is at your own expense but your driver will recommend good local options.
Is the tour suitable for families?
Yes. The mix of historical sites, a beach stop, and scenic drives makes it a well-rounded family day. Please inform us if travelling with young children so stops can be adjusted.
What is the best time of year to visit Fujairah?
October to April offers the most comfortable temperatures. Summer visits (May–September) are hotter but the east coast is still popular for its beaches. The mountainous areas are cooler than Dubai year-round.
